RamNode review

RamNode, with years of hosting experience behind it, has one purpose: to provide affordable VPSs with powerful feature. They offer you good prices with high performance, guaranteed by the RAID10 SSD storages and Intel E3 and E5 Xeon CPUs. You can choose premium or standard plans. Premium plans are hosted on Intel E3 CPUs (3,3GHz+ per core), standard and Massive VPS plans are hosted on Intel E5 CPUs (2,3GHz+ per core). Resource allocations also vary between category.

RamNode’s VPS plans

RamNode offers you OpenVZ SSD standard and premium plans, besides OpenVZ HDD plans. You can choose Standard plans from 1024 MB RAM, 1 core CPU, 40 GB storage, 1000 GB bandwidth for $3,5/month to 16384 MB RAM, 2 cores CPU, 200 GB storage, 5000 GB bandwidth for $56/month. The Premium plans goes from 128 MB RAM, 1 core CPU, 12 GB storage, 500 GB bandwidth for $15/year to 4096 MB RAM, 4 cores CPU, 135 GB storage, 5000 GB bandwidth for $40/month.

You can get one of the Massive plans with HDDs, which goes from 256 MB RAM, 1 core CPU, 120 GB storage, 1000 GB bandwidth for $3,5/qtr to 8192 MB RAM, 4 cores CPU, 350 GB storage, 6000 GB bandwidth for $80/month. You can choose from OpenVZ or KVM virtualization, and the plans vary a bit depending on the virtualization type.

RamNode’s Dedicated servers

If you want to order a dedicated server you can choose from 4 options. You can start with the 4GB plan with a single core CPU, 4GB RAM, 100GB storage for $20/month and you can upgrade up to the 32 GB plan, with an 8 core CPU, 32 GB of RAM and 800 GB storage for $160/month.

All of the dedicated servers are running on Intel E3 CPUs (3,3GHz+ per core). There are a lot of operating system options to choose from, but if you choose Windows Server 2008 R2, the user needs to provide the license. All servers are managed by SolusVM, so you can have full access over your server.

Support and other features

RamNode has a nice and useful knowledgebase, but if you don’t find the solution for your problem, you can still contact them via ticket or e-mail. Their premium support team is happy to help you. In case you are looking for a job, you should check their job offers. With a growing company as RamNode, there are always positions available.

RamNode has servers in New York, Atlanta, Seattle, Los Angeles and the Netherlands, so they have quite good geographical coverage. There are not many user feedback from RamNode, but what we found are usually telling a good experience.
